Allen Anderson has four decades of piloting experience. This year, Anderson is partaking in his third National Balloon Classic with his balloon called “Pixie Stix.”

 

Anderson has been taking his piloting passion to new heights during his retirement.

 

“I like the same things that most pilots like. Maybe one of the differences is that I now have the ability to accomplish some of these goals. Our life has always been full of adventure, but now that I am retired, there are no limits,” said Anderson.

 

He returns to the National Balloon Classic to see “the most kind people in the world” and says his favorite part about flying at the National Balloon Classic is the people of Indianola.

 

Allen says that sharing the sport inspires him as a pilot and that, “It’s all about spreading the pixie dust. Spreading the love.”
