Dave Reinke has over 41 years of flight experience and has participated in the National Balloon Classic for over 10. This year, he is flying his fan-favorite balloon called “Peg Leg Pete.”

 

As an Illinois resident, the proximity and fun people of the National Balloon Classic keep him coming back every year. Dave is inspired by how every flight is different and advises pilots to “have good training and good equipment.”

 

Dave’s wife Kathy is also a pilot for her balloon “Sunsational”.
